Welcome to the Mental Health Hackers online home!

Our mission is to educate tech professionals about the unique mental health risks faced by those in our field – and often by the people who we share our lives with – and provide guidance on reducing their effects and better manage the triggering causes.

We also aim at providing support services to those who may be susceptible to related mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, social isolation, eating disorders, etc.

Please understand that we do not provide counseling or therapy services. While there are no medical professionals on our board, we regularly consult with them on content and recommendations for training, phrasing, and information sources.

Meet Our Board

We are a group of information security professionals passionate about helping others. Many of us have battled personally with mental health issues, some have supported loved ones in their struggles. Our experiences prompted our desire to open, support and foster conversations about mental health problems and to provide support and information as to how to recognize, manage, and conquer them. We found encouragement and support within the infosec community and we hope to expand and be able to reach out to the entire tech industry and to all those affected by these issues.

Amanda Berlin

Chief Executive Officer

Amanda Berlin is the Director of Incident Detection Engineering at Blumira. After beginning to open up about her own mental health struggles, an overwhelming amount of positive feedback encouraged her to continue to lead initiatives to help others struggling to see they aren’t alone.

He is also a strong proponent of promoting emotional intelligence and mindfulness to empower individuals to prioritize their own mental well-being.
